In der aktuellen Ubuntu-Version 10.04 LTS (Long Time Support) wurden einige Design-Änderungen gegenüber der Vorgänger-Version durchgeführt.

Unter anderem sind die Buttons zum Minimieren, Maximieren und Schließen auf die linke Seite gewandert, was sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig ist.

Glücklicherweise lassen sich diese Änderungen leicht anpassen:

Anordnung der Fensterbuttons ändern

Terminal starten und folgendes eintippen:

gconftool-2 –type string –set /apps/metacity/general/button_layout „menu:minimize,maximize,close“

Menü-Icons aktivieren

Terminal starten und folgendes eintippen:

gconftool-2 –type Boolean –set /desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons True

Nautilus: zwischen Navigationsknöpfen und Eingabefeld für Adresse umschalten

Zum Umschalten kann weiterhin die Tastatur verwendet werden:

Strg + L: Zum Eingabefeld umschalten

Esc: zu den Knöpfen zurück wechseln
